Texting and Writing
The passage is about the discussion of the effect on writing
by texting and instant massaging. Texting is very prominent now and is
affecting the way we think of writing and also the method of writing. Texting
usually happens by shortening words and making text in the shortest way
possible. In writing it is very important to write properly with full sentences
and having a complete idea. But in texting, most of that is lost. In the
passages it argues how IM and texting influences the way we write and communicate.
Before communicating in the form f writing was by letter or by email. It was
something not vey instant. The writing style had to be full of meaning because
a letter or email is not a very instant thing. Now, with the advancement of IM
and texting the method of speech does more instant resemble an actual verbal
conversation. We don’t speak the same way we write, but with texting it had
made it to make speaking and texting the same. We text the way we speak,
therefor, the meaningful long writing that is done typically with emails or
letters is not done. Texting is done all the time. It does not require long
words or for being formal when texting friends. When friends’ text, they speak
in their own language and it catches on and when it comes time to write a
paper, it is difficult because they are so use to the text speech.
Writing requires proper grammar, good word choice, and
complete sentences. It says in the passages that researchers are concerned that
teenagers writing is being corrupted by texting and instant messaging.

My Own Writing Process
Everyone has their own writing process. For my writing process i begin with to decide the topic I'm going to write about then. Then after i have a general idea of the topic i begin my research which begins in a broad scale where i look for many supporting topics i can also write about. Then i narrow the topics i choose for my paper. I then decide my three topics or arguments I'm going to write about then i begin researching them. I start by getting a well rounded idea of the topic and then I look for quotes that i want to insert into the paper. The i begin the prewriting process where I record all the quotes i have received also my sources so i can find them later. With the sources I sort out all the information i have so it is easy to use it in a paper. I I analyze how I'm going to use the information in my paper and make three groups for the three topics i have chosen. Then i Determine if i have enough information for my topic And make sure i can make my topic well rounded when it comes time to write it.
Then it comes time for me to outline. I write my outline by organizing the order of how I'm going to write my thoughts for the paper. I make sure i have enough information for each topic and also have my topic sentence that goes along with the whole paper. Writing the outline is very important for me because it is the guidelines for the whole paper. It need the most thought to write because it creates the whole idea of whole paper was been written. Then i begin writing my draft all the way through with minimum breaks usually in two parts. Then i later look over the paper and look for any mistakes or give it to someone to look over it. After i have received the correction, i correct the paper and add a better vocabulary or include more descriptions. After the paper is revised and all corrected i am ready to turn it in.

"Rose" QDJ 1, ,2 & 4
1. I have always bee tough to begin a paper with a attention grabber as it engages the reader and makes them want to continue reading. I have also learned to use as much description as possible to make the reader use his/her imagination.
2. The blockers had rules which included to keep the reader engaged and the un-blockers had rule that allowed you t have more to say and let you express more ideas.
4. There are many rules i like but i like to have freedom when i write. Keep writing untill you have nothing to say else then organize those thoughts later.

“Prior”
1. Learning about a writing process would be important when trying to improve it being able to write a better paper. it helps you with structuring at formulating the paper in turn have wetter writing skills.
2. The process i would take is first brainstorming and outlining, then writing and structuring, then rereading and correcting, finally reviewing and improving.
3.Composition is when the author writes his thoughts out and inscription is the tools or mans of way he puts them down. composition comes first in this.
4. It tells the radar all the people and minds it took to make what is written possible.
5. Different elements and people come tighter to make a story. it includes the editor the publisher the reviser and many more.
Reviewing My literacy Narrative
After I have written my literacy narrative and turned it in,
if I were to make any changes to the paper I feel like I should have written it
with more description. I went through all the events in my life of learning how
to read and write but didn't give enough descriptions. I believe that I should
have given more descriptions to make a more involving and descriptive paper. I
should have also added more imagery to my paper. It was very straight forward
and didn't include vivid details of my experiences.
In regarding to my writing process, although I wrote a
outlive I believe I first should have made a more detailed outlive detailing
the experiences and exactly which order I wanted to say everything. I also
believe that I write better when I do my paper hand written first. I give each
word more thought when I write it and also I get distracted when I type and
there is a red squiggly line under my words. I always feel the need to correct
them and then I loose my train of thought. Then I should type up my paper improving
the wording even more. I think if I use this method that my paper will turn out
even better. Then finally get someone to finally review my paper to make some
minor adjustments.
Finally, my paper was written in different days, and I think
I should have took all my ideas in one go a put them on a paper. Usually, my
ideas change from day to day and I start forgetting how my thought process
went. So I thing the beginning move I should make in improving my writes
process in to fist improve in my outline making skills.

Murray and Strasser
1. Murray believes that all writing is autobiography. He believes that when you write anything that it is expressing your writing and it is written in a way only the writer does. Every this that is written is written by a author which is original piece that that person therefor it is a autobiography.
5. It make me thing more about how I write and the words i choose. The words I may choose not for my writings may change over time. The way i write now reflects me in the present and if I read what i wrote later it will be a flash back.
6. My last writing was for school. Although it is not autobiographical in nature, it resamples my writing style and it shows the words I use. Compared to something I have written a while ago it may be different.
1. A writer mar have the ability to write something but truly isn't capable until he actually shows that he is. A writer has to be able to write about all thing even if it is that which does not interest him.
2. Writing is meaningful when the author is passionate about the topic. Writing for the improvement of grammar is good to a certain extent. Writing a paper only focus on proper grammar will loose meaning and start to loose flavor and purpose.
3. School is an exercise of mind, body, and spirit. It is a means of teaching by drilling large amounts of knowledge in ones mind.

QDJ 1, 2, 3, and 4 (WaW 117)
1. This account shifts back and forth between the first person "I" and the third person "Victor" "he". What effects does that shifting create? Does it break any rules you've been thought?
2. How does Villanueva define rhetoric? What else does he say that studying rhetoric helps you study?3. Have you ever tried observing and imitating the writing moves that other writers make, as Villanueva describes doing this his English teachers ("Professional Discourse Analysis") If so, what was your experience doing so? If not, what would you need to look for in order to do the kind of imitation Villanueva describes?4. In paragraph 6, Villanueva describes his college writing process as, "The night before a paper was due, he'd gather pen and pad , and stare. Clean the dishes. Stare. Watch an 'I Love Lucy' rerun. Stare. Then sometime in the night the words would come" (A few more sentences finish description.) What elements of this process resemble your own? How is yours different?
1. The shifting between first person and second person creates the feeling that when he speaks in first person he is proud of his actions and when he speaks in third person he is just speaking of his past. The switching created a feeling that there more than one person speaking in the narrative. The switching in the writing style is not something i was ever thought to do.
2. Villanueva defines rhetoric as the study of humans. It is the was we speak and interact. Rhetoric is the was we write and interact with utter humans. He says clearly that learning it is very important.
3. If I were to do as Villanueva did I would read their writings and also ask them what is the best way they prefer for me to go about my paper. I would ask multiple teachers for their advice and see what the best way to go about it would be.
4. The way he described his writing method was to start writing and take a break to let the mind gather his thoughts. He says "stare" which I interoperate to mean brainstorm his ideas. It is difficult to start a paper and complete it in one go but the way he used is to take brakes and let the words flow.

Skills to be Learned
There are many skills that I want to acquire within this semester to become a better writer. i need to begin learning the steps of writing a paper. All the steps needed to writing a successful paper include the first thought. Then to organize the paper and going through the writing process. after writing i nee to learn the editing process of what to look for and how to correct them. The editing process is very important because when writing the paper it may seem to flow but after revisiting the paper it may look unorganized. The next skill I want to develop is to be able to write longer papers. Ideas sometimes are not enough to write on a parer and sometimes need more detailed writing. I paper needs to be the proper length but also needs to be well organized and flow. the ideas can't seem to be repetitive and for the reader to seem like he is reading something new every time he reads each paragraph.
I want to learn what to do when you get stuck writing a paper. At times you are writing any your ideas run out and you don't know how to take the next step. I want to learn how to battle that and to be able to write a proper paper. This also includes finding the topic the paper should be about. A topic needs to be one that you can write a whole paper on and not something to broad or narrow.
I want to lean the different styles of writing in accordance to voice, tone, and level of formality. Different papers sound and make you feel different and i want to learn in which situation how to write a paper properly.
I want to have the skill of properly critiquing my and or someone else's paper. I want to learn the ways of identifying a mistake and effectively conveying the proper way to handle a error. Writing a lengthy paper is not the goal but a paper that conveys a strong message in a proper format is more desirable.
